My Something
You,
My something,
With every little touch,
Remind me why I can never resist
the way you take my breath away-
Every little piece of you makes up the lyrics to my favorite song,
The lyrics that will continue to linger on my tongue-
Day-
After day-
After day-
After day-
You smile,
And it sets off fireworks within me,
Sparks fly,
And I am lost in an unknown place,
Almost like a daydream-
But it is not exactly the best one,
It is great,
I will admit that,
But it is so frustrating because all I can see is you,
And although it is a perfect view for my eyes,
You are too far away to touch.
And that is torture for the rest of me.
I'm begging you,
Please close the gap between us-
Please. Please. PLEASE.
Take away this pathetic, painful longing that I have for you-
You are a dream that I can never get rid of,
One that I want so badly to come true-
Or go away-
Or just something,
Anything else.
Because I am just so sick and tired
Of this haunting vision of you
That refuses to leave my mind-
This dream that I speak of,
Oh no-
I don't mean to be harsh,
but it is more like a night mare-
You're my something,
My something that I love,
My something that I can never actually have.
