Sanctuary within a dream

In bed I long to be where the stress of life can not burden me.
The only place I find refuge; I close my eyes to forget. The pain you caused unaware of it. My heart can rest for it is safe until morning when dawn breaks. The thought of you may still remain until the day I feel no pain. For long it will not last, for when the sun rises the joy will have passed.
Then all day I shall seek that one true place I find peace.
