I am Beautiful
Born as black girl I’m confined to a box
that says I am not beautiful
I will never be beautiful
but who says I have to stay in that box
I am beautiful
short, black, thick and with long hair
because that’s how God made me
I’m uniquely made
I will never change myself
because my opinion is the only one that matters
I am a black girl
that will not stay confined to her box
because I know am
and I am beautiful
