Heartbroken
She waited for him after midnight
Standing by herself, shivering
Drip, Drip went the rain as it hit her
Mixed with her salty tears
Questions were running through her head
She looked down at her engagement ring
It looked dull and matte in the darkness
She waited for him to call her
To say he was on his way
The were suppose to go to a place of happiness
She fell on her knees, beating the ground repeatedly
She screamed in anguish
She was broken now
She took off the ring and threw it into oblivion
She cried and cried till her head felt like it was going to burst
It was over for her
He hurt her deep down in her heart
Now it is no longer beating

What inspired me to write this play was an old tall tale about a woman who was in a similar situation. I enjoyed writing this peice extremely.
