Spring Beauty
Newborn sun, banana pancakes, and
little birds or just
fluty tritones.
You are a ballerina
amid pirouette
constantly avoiding
the precipice,
(and this is purely empirical).
You taught me that the
language of Human is heuristic, but
forgetting,
another story.
Your bloodless linen matches the
vanity concealing
unremembereds and ignoreds,
a place you hope
I'll find refuge.
You wouldn't dare visibly stain the
carpet, but
all you eat
looks a lot like pomegranates
and blueberries.
Our time in conjunction was hurried and fleeting and
they call Spring Beauty an ephemeral plant,
just as you are,
I think the title is fitting.

I have a lot of fun writing pieces that are almost light and pretty to picture while reading. This one is slightly ambiguous which makes it interesting to interpret, enjoy.
