In My Head
I’m.
a 8th grader.
I’m a artist.
I struggle at math.
I’m one of those overlooked shy kids.
I don’t say a lot at school.
I can speak out loud..
in my head.
When someone pushes me aside.
I say nothing.
But in my head.
I can scream and yell, shattering glass.
In my head, I’m confident.
I’m a warrior.
For once, I do not worry.
I can soar in the sky, leap off cliffs.
Imagine to infinity.
Step forward and never back.
In my head,
All those imperfections I see in the mirror..
Gone.
In the night sky, there are millions of stars dotted in the blue.
In my head,
I shine the brightest, proud and strong.
But.
Outside.
My confidence wavers with every test score.
In my head,
I begin the battle.
The burst of will that controls me.
The re match.
There is girl in 8th grade.
She is a artist.
She is a shy overlooked kid.
But when someone pushes her aside.
She says.
“Hey”
And thats not in my head.

Hey! I'm new, and I love writng and drawing. So anyways. ahem.
I know I'm not the only shy kid in my school. Im not the only insecure one either. But each one of us is different. The challanges we face are always different. And I wanted to write a poem about me at school. I get overlooked alot and I know you also have been. So, this poem is about fighting back. Never let your insecurites control you. Never.
