All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten- Robert Fulghum

Well hey, our aspirations may be crushed by our procrastinations
While we try to make sense of the stuff of the dense who'll yell and scream
While we try to make sense of last night's dream whose elusive lucidity exhibits our spiritual fluidity
While our ideological desire will get us all to inspire or at least try to do so because we'll realize that when we attained the title of revolutionary missionary though we were trying to make friends we really made foes
While we picked the wrong fights and made the wrong flights because we refused to be corrupted so our rants were interrupted
While we met up in those lazy shops planning the graffiti we'll exhibit to cops and we discussed and debated our anaphoric posters while drinking Bedouin Chai on consumerist coasters never realizing that our situation is oh so ironic nor mentioning that our relationships are sort of tectonic
While we stay oblivious to the fact that our lives are intact so we'll get called out as hypocrites and parody and we'll roar back citing solidarity
While we were lying to ourselves forgetting that we never read off the shelves because we've just been quoting our own personal messiah who has no credentials, just makes us in a way admit our potential even though we've faded away to tropical forests accepting the position as local pariah and have been falling asleep in class and in cars, calculating love and contemplating czars
While we marched on the streets for the umpteenth time even though we know that all there's to gain is an umpteenth rhyme
While we convince ourselves that what we're doing is righteous and cool but we'll wet our pillows at night because we discover ourselves as the fool
While we're framed and declared communist Nazis and our future has been predicted as murky and muddy, we'll be praying despite introversion for some paparazzi and we'll come to the conclusion that despite our best efforts that, f***, we hate everybody
While we were walking around, cackling at the suffering and got caught in space-time in the web of the buffering and drew pictures and paintings and wrote poems and songs and felt guiltfully guiltless cuz we were so disconnected and looked to our priests and pastors and gurus and rabbis and sheikhs for all the answers to the questions of the rights and the wrongs feeling real safe to ask cuz our lives were protected
While we became judicial authorities to what's hard and what's easy even though truth be told most our journeys were cheesy and we forgot that some comrades had it much worse and we came to the conclusion that our privileges is a curse cuz we could talk the talk but we could never walk the walk of the Christs and the Ghandis and even the Buddahs as we drowned in the echoes of the could'ves and the should'ves
While we forgot all our lessons cuz class was a bore and didn't think it would help us, the hedonists galore. And we were breaking the wrong rules and going to the wrong schools because we didn’t really care for science and mathematics, we just looked for a fight with political, religious, athletic, militaristic, material and ultimately pathetic fanatics and we borrowed old memoirs from nostalgic elves and found that just like back then we're still hitting ourselves
While our frustrations create craters and we'll call to boycott all things standardized and we'll discuss history's invaders and we'll plan our whole lives and move forward improvised and we'll have some more meaningless debate claiming that it's all out of love not of hate and we'll get frustrated by adults and pseudointellectuals just standing by bookshelves and just like they did to us we'll frustrate ourselves
While we're still sucking our thumb and the world is doing us dumb and we accidentally conformed into nothingness so much so that the world listened to the very little we had to say and we eventually had to manifest the rediscovery of ourselves and by then the pseudo revolution will make us pay
While we watched a generation lost for words but full of ideas get caught up in silly stuff, we never admitted that life may just be this rough and whether it be an electric chair or a handcuff there will be those amongst us who won't secede to the threats of a delusional billionaire and deciphering the fine line between stupidity and bravery, well we just couldn't care
While watching the next revolution on our television we couldn't help but notice that in the grand scheme of things this was but a small incision and here we were watching with analytic eyes as kings and princes of democracy scream of war and peace and true and fake and emperors of religion preach of good and bad and love and hate but only in retrospect will we realize that we were breathing in the gases of hypocrisy
While listening to wise men and wise guys, searching for truth and indulging in lies, they're in their towers all fed looking down at us all dead, but what they were saying was a little too simple, a little too vague cuz in the end it was out there too cripple, to start a nonsense plague
While we realize that it's this intellectual oblivion which passively causes mothers to cry whether they're Jewish or Palestinian cuz we've had ten thousand scholars and ten million soldiers, but we're still somehow all rolling in the same snowball while blowing up the same boulders cuz we've only felt misery and distress briefly enough so as to pretend to remember so we can charge forward blindly when revolution make a call to cease the surrender
While going on and on about freeing Gaza and explaining the politics of Einstein and witnessing history once again on some European plaza and watching each other cry over who truly loves Palestine or if you will Israel, though that part might be kind of trivial cuz in the end we've found ourselves losing sight of our yellow brick roads whether they're green, purple, black white or red and we've got to catch onto something quick before this world finds us dead
While embracing our youth and unique struggle and going in different directions searching for a sense of protection underneath our homes of rubble, we'll look at the ripples we've caused, at getting time paused, at having wars on wars and the world on all fours, at loving love and hating hate, at realizing we had to do more than just wait, at starting the uprisings of our dreams and knowing we'll do it without our extremes, at changing the world like cupid even though they will for sure call us stupid but we won't care, we'll just stare with our determined faces not noticing the world has tied together our laces
Because in the end it's bigger than you and it's bigger than me but at least we can sympathize with one another because we know our dreams seem like a delusion that everyone just wants to come out and smother and the fact that we'll fail seems like a foregone conclusion cuz all we've got in the end is hope in our battle for evil's denouncement
Well hey, this was a public service announcement
