I step up to the podium
And I take a deep breath
So many things
Have led me to this point
So many people
Have guided me on this path
And so I open my mouth
And I speak
I speak in a way
To express my opinions
To express my thoughts
To express my desires
I speak in a way to let my voice rise above
And I am heard
Here, I can move mountains
My words can create change
My ideas can spark revolutions
The classroom is not a classroom anymore
It is my haven
It is my home
