Wet Practice
Drip, drip, drip.
Drip, drip, drip.
Forgot
to bring
an umbrella
Dangit.
It is
freezing
outside.
Pouring rain
my teammate slips.
The hood
that won’t
stay on my head
is
heavy
on my neck.
My face is soaked.
So
wet
and cold
and don’t forget, wet.
I still
have to
walk
to the school.
Patter, patter patter, drip,
drop,
drip,
drop.
My whole body drenched
My muscles frozen
My homework waiting.
Tomorrow is my game.
