L O S T
Lost
So often we lose true meanings
of life.
We forget who we are,
in this materialistic world.
Authentic communication dwindles,
while social media grows.
The daily talk
is made up of complaining
or judgmental comments.
The disrespect our world is shifting towards,
is ruining us all.
While we sit here in self pity,
people die for our protection.
Soldiers are made up
of immense bravery.
Fighting each day,
so we can live a free life.
Men and women make many friendships
while serving our country.
During this time
of shear heroism and courage,
those friendships become lost,
forever.
Our men and women
make sacrifices daily, selflessly and passionately
Some become scarred for life,
physically and mentally.
So next time you complain about your iPhone
being too slow,
or not getting what you want,
just remember that you have heros.
These people need respect and love.
Thank you,
soldiers.

I once came across a photo of a soldier bowing down to his fellow soliders hat, and that was all. It sparked something in me; a feeling of sadness, but also thankfulness. So many people in the world lose what is really important : love and compassion.
