The Monster
The girl had Anger
It poured out every orifice
Trying to find some escape
She tried to restrain the Monster a
As best as she could
But there was no stopping it
It
Simmered
Bubbled
Then
Reached a boiling point
Through one swift motion
Of a palm striking a cheek
It was released
But, Anger wasn’t finished
It urged the body to do more
Pushing
Thrusting
Shoving
Until restrained
It wasn’t her fault
Anger was controlling her
It wasn’t her fault
Anger lashed out
It wasn’t her fault she couldn’t control
The Monster
After all she was taught,
Actions are louder than words
