Christmas Day
Dawn breaks as the sun slowly creeps
  Around the freshly powdered mountain
  Dawn breaks and children
  Sprightly hop out of bed
And rush to their parents happily cheering
The visit of Old Saint Nick
Dawn breaks and parents sluggishly crawl out of bed
Slowly making their way down the hall
To meet their children by the tree
Dawn breaks and torn pieces of
  Festive wrapping paper lies
  Scattered around the tree
Night falls and tired candy-filled children
Lie in bed as they dream of their new toys
  And sweets from their stockings
Night falls and sleepy parents pick up toys
And candy wrappers around the house
  Night falls and parents sleep
  Basking in their joyus dreams.
