She has tie dye lies, chanel purse under her eyes

Destructive habits intricately weaving her emotions like chimes
Chimes like metronomes. She goes up and down
Emotionless bound. Hopeless bound
Her past mistakes continue to come back
Things she wanted to bury and anew or slip through the cracks
She knows OF her potential but puts her self-doubt ahead
And she knows OF sleep but not OF it in a bed
Cause her dreams are supposed to be in the form of quizzes and college applications
Seeing her dream before her eyes, not on the back of her eyelids is affirmation
Heart and mind of a women, stamina and body of a child
Let her head rest on mine and let her doubts run out of her mouth like the Nile
You’re safe, you finally made it baby girl. It’s mine turn next.
I hope you’ll be proud of me and I can give you something to impress
We’ll both level up at the same time but you’re a step above kid
If words could give to you the world then I give you
Substitute give with love in that last phrase twice
Your hand in mine looks pretty nice.
