Devil's in the Details
Your thumb presses the pen with a click,
The sound of its finality drowns the drabble.
And there on the paper with shaking hand
You choose your inevitable fate.
Black ink signs your legacy again and again,
With that last letter you've made your last move.
Now your vision begins to blur and your head to spin
While the man shakes your hand with a devilish grin.
Pleasure doing business with you

This piece was based around the cliche, "the devil's in the details". I used this as the starting point to build a scene in which someone is making a choice, and with this choice they are selling their soul as well. Please feel free to interperet this however you like, and I would love it if you would leave a comment with your thought, opinions, etc.
