Deep Down
An artist she was at heart
Making lovely prints each day
But there was a kink.
No one ever saw
But if you truly looked deep
You would find her biggest fear.

The canvas the art all started on
Not a clean new sheet of paper
But one that was worn out and used many times
Her scar filled wrist.
And the paint so gracefully drawn
Was blood
Her very own
