tree limbs hammer against  my window.

A fawn, blinded by bright lights, leaps across the pavement.

tires skid across the cement.
Plop, plop, splash, boom, crack, whoosh, tap, click, click, screech, shatter,
my windshield shatters, splintering.

sirens blare in the distance.
