Dreamer
Her innocence was
torn and tattered by
the voices around her
Surrounding her in words to
Imagine there’s no heaven
They told her
to forget about her hopes
and to lay her dreams to rest
They told her it was better to have
Nothing to kill or die for
Wanting nothing more than
peace and maybe some quiet
She dreamed for a day
where she could feel free
And the world will be as one
Around her she listened
as their clamor clashed
and words were weapons
She watched the world spin farther from
A brotherhood of man
You could say being a dreamer
of peace is insane
but she is not the only one
and one day you may join her
And the world will live as one

I chose to incorporate lyrics from John Lennon's Imagine and corporate it to another persective.
