Falling
Starting is often the worst part of everything.
Your heart pounding through your chest,
creating a weight that holds you back.
The change begins when you
step-leap out into the unknown.
Falling is simple.
Drifting down to enjoy the trip
and float through life
closer and closer to the end.
Every so often, times get tough,
the wind jerks you back with startling strength,
but you keep falling-soaring on.
The end is always the same,
firm and absolute.
The true test is in how you approach the finish.
Stumbling with panic, analyzing
over analyzing every painful step or
gracefully descending until you kiss the resolution
with wide open arms.
