Your eyes wrote me a poem today.

You tell me all the time that you're

Not good with words, and most

Times there is nothing interesting to say.

Yet each day, your warm soul writes 

A more meaningful sentence in

The light of your eyes than your

Fingertips will ever scratch on paper.

And from this I have learned to 

Read you like a poem,

Each line different yet sweeter 

Than the one before it. 

And so you don't need to use your 

Hands to write me a single word

Or use your lips to describe the way

You feel.  Simply look into my eyes

And I'll sing the lyrics of your 

Favorite song back to you.
