Pour It Out

We're all coming down,
The rain, you and I.
Our hearts are beating rapidly,
To the melody of rain's defeat.

I pray we all can breathe passively,
Breathe to see another cloudy day.
I wish we all would leave silently,
Pain relieved of burdensome pay.

Hope?
Do you hear my desperate call?
Do you hear it in my quavering voice,
Are you even there at all?

I can't stop believing in you,
Because the moon is so blue,
And the sky is so white,
Nothing ever seems right.

Time and space?
Do you escape the moment?
I'm here and you're not
Where were you in the first place?

Pens upon lovely pens,
My mountain of addiction.
My identity, my purpose,
Take them away when I'm done.

Love and compassion,
Where do you live?
The sky, all around?
They all think you a derivative.

My heart combusts,
At the sound of the victory trumpet.
What does it mean?
I'm dead, and my heart bleeds,
Staining the crimson carpet.
