Idolize, I will not
I will not compare thee to a summer’s light
Love, there are no stars in your eyes for they dimmed years before
I will not sit here and tell you lies
I am but an honest creature
Beloved, a rose is nature’s creation and the meaning of adoration
I cannot adore you as you think I should
You are a simple human being
You bleed red as I
My love, you are not meant to be worshiped
You will never be my whole world
You are not a star for you breath
Dear, you are not fleeting like summer
You are not shrouded in mystery
For;
I have already cracked you open,
I have read your soul
Beloved I know your nightmares
I know how many tears you have shed
There is nothing left to discover
You and I are equal
I will never succumb to you and neither will you.
I cannot adore you but I will love you

“According to Greek mythology, humans were originally created with four arms, four legs and a head with two faces. Fearing their power, Zeus split them into two separate parts, condemning them to spend their lives in search of their other halves.”
? Plato's The Symposium
The idea that humans are only 50% of a whole always rubbed me the wrong way. I never liked the idea that someone has to complete you, that you are not a whole but a part. I believe that love of any kind there has some kind of equality where no one person has more power than another.
I’m a complete person with my own thoughts and ideas, they might change but they will always be mine. I don't need someone else to be happy because I’m happy with myself. That being said when two people come together who are both completely and utterly themselves and they love each other entirely that's a beautiful love that will last.
