Beautiful Assumptions and Harsh Realities
  Little girl’s dream
  Of that magical moment
  That passionate whirlwind
  of                                                emotions
  Growing up,
  That moment is
  Depicted to be absolutely
  One hundred percent                     perfect
  Little girls expect
  To be swept off their feet
  by                                                Prince Charming
  The sight of fireworks
  Exploding in the distance.
  As I age, I wonder
  Does any little girl
  Get swept off her feet?
  Does anyone truly see an
  explosion of                                   fireworks
  bright pink and rosy red?
  The build up of that
  Moment is the
  D
    o
      w
         n
            f
               a
                  l
                    l
  Of its beauty.
  Preparation removes
  Spontaneity, and
  Therefore, all the                        passion.
