The Seattle cool air hits me
It’s very brisk and cutting
The smell of Redwood trees surrounds me
Into the wilderness I keep hiking
The light of the morning sun peeks over the mountains
Casting shadows of thin branches
A typical northwest morning
Should not be taken for granted
Birds are chirping, and people are rushing
The noisy city is starting the day
But I am still admiring the forest
Hopefully going the right way
