Poetry out loud
The human race is bothersome
most I can deal with nor a day
Over the past fifteen years
I have got pretty used to them
I don’t mind if the sit with me
On buses, streetcars, or eat
At the same restaurants as me,
If it’s not the same table with me.
However, I do not agree with a woman
I care about dancing with them. I have
tried asking them into my home
Without success. I don’t
Care to see my sister anymore. She is
With them, think of the children
Their art is creative but barbarous.
I know if given the opportunity,
They would murder us in our sleep,
In our homes, with our families.
And you must admit, they smell
How I feel for the human race.
