Her Story

The soft tip of the pencil scribbles on and on
with nothing but her life guiding it.
It writes of younger days when ice cream dripped on a hot summer day
It writes of the bumble bees that got caught in her lusciously curly hair
She knows her story is over once the leaves begin to change
and the snow begins to fall.
