Shreds of Morning
Beautiful morning,
subtle pinks,
ferocious blue,
feathery clouds,
vast openness.
All I see, though,
sly pink,
brutal blue,
savage orange,
shreds of clouds,
stifling openness.
Sunrise came too quickly--
can't stand the beauty.
Feels like false liberation
before I am no more.
Can't ignore the sunrise--
or my pending fate.
