There is comfort in the night
In solitude
In silence, however empty
There's an implied serenity
An underlying calm
Peace lies in the dark, a peace which cannot be shaken or interrupted
A peace to quiet the noise
To end the distraction
To expose the truth
Honesty creeps in the stillness
Tranquility dwells in the shadows
Pity, once again, evades the lonely
