Temporary
Bullying
Insecurity
Addiction
Suicide
How many people have to take their lives befor people realize bullying is wrong?
It all begins with a simple word
You try to fit in to meet their expectations
Your mind is like a rattle, with there words shaking and spinning around
It takes a million compliments to build you up, and just one insult to bring you down
Once they point out your flaws that's all you begin to notice
Nothing else matters and trying to hide them
All you want is deemed as perfect to others
We compare ourselves behind the scenes with everyone else's highlight reel
Self loathing, the pressure, it at all leads to addiction
You feel as if you have nothing, no one to turn to
You feel so horrible, you go to some sort of temporary relief
Your only escape
Do you really want to make a permanent decision on a temporary problem ?
Taking your life just doesn't affect you
Your friends will hurt just looking at the empty table space
Your teachers will feel guilty for not noticing your pain
Your parents will be the most hurt
You just might be somebody else's reason the wake up every day
Have to hurt in order to know
Fall in order to grow
In order to gain
Because most of life's lessons I learned from pain
It's only temporary

This poem sends a deep message, because it was an issue I saw in most young teens or young adults today.
