Trapped In Reality
I opened the door.
As I stood shaking there he was,
My father.
After ten years I finally met him.
We would be a happy family.
Reality soon crushed that happiness into nothing.
All that was left was days of screaming,
And times he would leave for days.
After a year he left my life
Again.
The pain shot through me
Like an arrow slicing through my heart.
Will I ever be able to trust again?
When will I get the girl I once was back?
I’m like a ghost trapped in a body I don't
Belong in.
