Cycle of the Year
Beautiful as it silently falls,
shimmering silver on the ground.
Snowmen, snowflakes and forts.
Blinding when the sun hits it just right.
Slowly disappearing into lush green fields...
Bright green leaves.
Rain pours down,
splashing in puddles with rain boots.
Everything shiny and new.
Flowers pop up...
Bright bold sun.
Hot days.
Crisp clear water.
Camping out in the fresh green woods.
Swimming and shouting.
Barbecues and s’mores with friends.
Cooler days...
Back to school.
Spooky nights.
Pumpkins and squash.
Red, yellow and orange leaves,
floating down on a cool breeze,
covering the freshly mowed lawn.
At night frost takes control...
And then it begins again.
