The View Finder
I picked up the camera when you left
I look outside and the first thing I saw was
Green vibrant grass with colorless patches
Small yellow dandelions with life taken out
But I see this one dandelion
The wish flower
Bright green stem with the whitest petals
Almost as soft as clouds
I capture this moment
The flower up and center with the background blurred
My first photograph
I pick the flower,
Raise it up and lightly blow the petals into the wind
I hope it reaches you up in heaven
And you know that this one is for you
