False Hope
Praying for petty dreams
Searching for happiness by any means
We hate our own race
Yet love an unknown face
All our problems are in unknown hands
And we give in to their impossible demands
We’ve never met the unknown
Yet in their name, we’d murder our own
All these promises we are told
Yet how do we know they’ll truly uphold?
Seeing is believing
But I guess to most that holds no meaning
If they truly loved us they’d come down from space
If they truly loved us they’d show their face
Even if they are out there
They don’t truly care
They’re cruel
With that iron fist they use to rule
They punish the innocent
Yet spare those who deserve imprisonment
The world they’ve created is backward
Still you worship them like some great master
They don’t deserve our love
Cease from always turning to the above
The sky is filled with false heroes
And who are we to them but a bunch of zeroes
