Caged, shut in like an animal.

Breathing but not living.

Darkness closing in, sucking the life out of me.

Trapped in a hole, slowly suffocating.

Trying to find the light, to grasp any feeling but theres nothing left.

Seeing the people living, but not living yourself.

Drowning in the feeling of not feeling.

Wishing you could feel something.

Even if what you felt was pain.

At least you would feel something.

But there is only emptiness and numbness.

The cause of being strong for so long.

You can't feel.

You long to cry.

But any feeling left is slight and not really there.

You try to stay strong.

But you really want to die.

No attempts to escape anymore.

You feel exhausted.

Useless.

No longer needed.

This is the end.

You made a choice.

And you ended it.

You're not sorry.

You finally feel alive.

Maybe it's better this way.

You finally feel happy.

No drowning.

You're alive in your mind.

"Yup" you think, it's better this way.

You close your eyes and smile.

And slowly drift off to sleep.
