Season of Depression
Winter is cold and dark,
I’m only comfortable when I am under sheets
Winter releases my cold dark depression,
Something I can fall too comfortable in
There is not enough sunshine to get me through the day
It is too cold to break a smile
The risk of a runny nose makes me want to stay inside
And forget the world,
Forget my responsibilities
Winter makes me want to hide under layers of blankets,
And like the empty streets on a cold evening
I dive into the cold empty depression it pushes on me
I can see beauty in the sparkles the street lights create with the snow
But still winter is the saddest season of them all
