snowfall
a cold kiss upon your cheek
it is the glitter of the sky
glistening, gentle and silent
a rare treat,
from nature
quietly spreading joy
red noses and pale faces
the day off from school
serene and peaceful
laughter and smiles being shared
the cold isn't bothersome,
when it is snowing
there is endless excitement
the feeling of christmas
the world is a different place
when snow decides to visit
snowfall
