I don’t mind the human race.

Especially since I pay most of them no attention.

“I am apart of all that I have met”

The walking contradictions

The ones who are dying inside

Yet slave to make others smile

Teens who wish to be out living life

But are instead inside only because

They have no resources

Or friends

Middle aged dads who attempt to

Do all the “new-hip” dances at their daughters parties

College students who have been called “Charcoal” their whole lives

Who are attending a school where everyone else is colorless

The elders who are accepting that they are losing their powers

The humans who do graffiti

Instagram-obsessed losers

The couples that are Ivory and Ebony

Teachers who don’t teach

Heartbreakers, who see no mistakes in what they are doing

The humans who create masterpieces and help me get through the day

Who hate their surroundings, but have no outlet

Wishing they were in Miami

The woke colored teens who are scared to walk in white neighborhoods

The sleep ones who don’t believe that the white man will pull the trigger

Who will survive in America?

The obstacle is the path

I don’t know who I will meet in my lifetime but

I don’t mind the human race
