The creaking of the floor brainwashed my mind
The ghoul, inching forward
Panic, encompassing my body
Whimpering souls, crying for help
Scary, black, bloody
A flash of darkness, whizzed past
Intently creeping up every step
Shattered glass spread everywhere
Crimson blotches, painted on walls
Thump
He landed
Shriveled up in fear,
Campers huddled up
Not wanting to be victimized
The spine chilling sound of his knife
My eyes widened
Watching each child
One by one
Redness shadowed the room
Hiding in the corner of a bunk
I was next

I personally, do not enjoy the super gory aspects of Halloween, so while writing, Cabin 16, I made sure the poem would not scare someone too much. I hope everyone loves this poem as much as I do! Halloween became more enjoyable whilst reading Cabin 16 aloud to myself. Cabin 16 is based of off a year I went to camp, in cabin number 16! Do not worry though, nothing extra spooky happened, unless you count a bunch of girls induced in a tenacious pillow fight. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy!
