Punishment
Imagine that teeny
tiny infant crawling
across the living room floor.
With every touch it has
the same kind of softness.
With every smile, they have
the same brightness that glows
within their face.
Remember the joy you had
when messing up the
bright white wall, with the colors of
the rainbow that lies within
your tiny hand.
She yells with a deep
dark tone that you never
wanted to hear but
now has been heard.
As their face that once
had the brightness
of the sun, then slowly drifts
into a deep fearful look
like hell has just arrived.
They punish you
with the tone that hits
an octave below.
You have no emotion
but is trying to come up with some solution.
They put you where wall meets wall
and you see the shadow that
stands before you.
Minute by minute hearing the
ticking of the clock. As your feet
become numb and tingly as
if you're standing on nails.
You are removed and
you are forgiven.

Its about how when we are punished we are sent to the corner of the wall as we are frightened by our parents because we have done something wrong.
