The Scarf

A red scarf floating carelessly in the wind
from a lady who did not care at all.
The red scarf gets trapped
wrapped around the hair
of the dancing willow tree.
still it flows
I remember when bandages weren’t enough.
Weren’t enough to conceal. Not enough
to hide the insecurity and vulnerability
of what I was going through.
