Traveling Writer
Hobo
Beach bum
Vagabond
Bag lady
Drifter
What I really am,
A traveling writer
No ties or weights in this world.
Just my final savings, my mom's prehistoric typewriter and my dad's glasses.
Me, sleeping in summer fields laced with dew.
Or less romantic places like cheap hotels and park benches.
Family gone,
Friends are left
And me, the traveling writer.
Sharing America's unknown beauties through the eyes of a textbook definition hobo.
A traveling writer, I told them.
