Flexing
10:31, Flexing is the only thing
going through my head
I walk through the crowds of my fans
on my way to the gym
Past my followers following,
by the crazy huge
crowd of companions
at the gym entrance
it’s crowded, full of my believers
I walk through the overflowing room
to the lifting room
all around me people are flexing--
the burning of the muscles,
the salty odor of sweat,
the cold metal weights ready for lifting.
When I start lifting two 900 pounders
everyone stares at me,
their mouths wide open
their eyes popping out.
Suddenly I realize,
I am awesome
as I drop the weights
everyone bows down to me
I walk out of the gym
I’m thinking, how amazing it is
to be amazing, how easy it is to lift
a ton,
we go home together
I walk back through the crowds of my fans
screaming my name
My followers drowning in the crowds, like the ocean
The crowd fighting to see me like hungry bears
My muscles and my ears
Are on fire
So are my fans.
I am awesome
