Monday Nightmares
It was May 23rd of 1995
It was a peaceful and quiet day,
when the man laid himself down to sleep.
He was snoring away and suddenly
the phone rang,
and rang,
and rang,
and then stopped!
Then it started ringing again.
Nonstop this time.
It seemed like,
it was getting louder and louder by the second.
It was dark and luxurious outside
the night air was cool
The moon was big and bright
you could almost hear the wolves howling at it
and the owls were wide awake
And so was the phone, it seemed.
It still had not stopped
it just kept ringing like it had nothing better to do
Why would someone be calling at midnight?
The man in the bedroom was snoring away.
He looked cozy,
and yet had drool down his chin.
His cheeks were rosy and looked like,
he had been breathing hard with the phone still ringing.
Now there was a loud knock on the door
with him still snoring away.
Suddenly a tree fell down
and crushed half the house
at the same time as the knocking
with the man snoring away still
Why was this happening?
The man’s bedroom light turned on
and the brisk air from half the house being crushed
by a tree was dragging him out of bed while he was still snoring
The sudden rush of air that pushed him out of bed
in the bath tub with his pajamas on
and his foot pushed the water on full blast
As the water was running and soaking his pajamas
The water wasn’t normal though
it looked like it had blood in it
Like blood was the only thing coming out.
It was thick as a person
The blood was gushy and the temp in the house had dropped to
-20 degrees.
There was finally an earthquake that shook him awake
When he was fully awake,
he realised he was still in his bed with the light off and
the temperature at 78 F and the phone was not ringing,
but his alarm clock was!
When the man got himself up out of bed,
he sighed and said,
I hate mondays that start with nightmares!
