Our love was like the ocean
Vast, beautiful, mysterious
But now you are gone and I am cold and wet
Your love was my life vest
But now that you have left me stranded
Waves of despair and desire consume me
Pull me under
Drown me into a state of numbness
I call out to the sea in hopes that you will hear and return to me
In hopes that you will love me again
You were my lighthouse
But ever since you walked away
All light disappeared
Now all I am left with are stormy skies
And a shipwreck of a heart
I loved you so much I forgot how to love myself
Our love has been swept away in the tsunami that is time
Now the ocean is only the ocean
And I am alone.
