I walked away
With you in one direction,
and my happieness in the other.
You were my sun for so long,
but I have now realized,
that I have always been one with the moon.
You call my name with tears in you eyes,
and your heart on your fingertips,
but the road has never looked as beautiful as it does now,
with my eating up the distance between us like a starving man eats his first meal.

I hope people take from this poem, the realization that sometimes you have to walk away from what you love for your own good.
