Seasonal Sadness

Summer makes me so mad
It shows that my “good times” are really sad
For most, this is the season that people thrive
While I’m just trying to stay alive
People haven’t been this burned since who knows when
And they’re all swimming and surfing, all hanging ten
Meanwhile I’m just always in bed
Because I got the blues dancing in my head

Fall has all of these pretty views
But school also starts; I’m hearing a lot of boo-hoos
That adds to a lot of my depression
Because I’m hearing “Math is now in session”
These beautiful yellow, orange, and red leaves
Though it will all be dead by Halloween eves
So I’m just going to go to bed
Because I got the blues dancing in my head

The cold makes me feel the same,
As all other people, and I have winter to blame
Winter makes everybody so sad
Boy oh boy, aren’t I glad
Because people will finally know my pain
As someone who is as miserable as a guy who got hit by a train
So I’m just going to get into bed
Because I got the blues dancing in my head

Spring, it’s “the beginning of life” they say
And I can’t wait till it’s over in May
All the people are feeling too happy
And what shock, I’m still feeling crappy
So I’ll just get into bed
Because I got the blues dancing in my head
