Angels
They are here
I can feel them
In the stone of the old church
In the fog hanging over the city
There are angels here
Slight glimpses
Soft breezes
A laugh
Floating on the edge of the wind
There are angels here
I saw one once
At first it was dark
Darker than a night without stars
Cold
Colder than a winter without fire
Then bright
So bright it felt as a fire
Then she was there
Tall and fair
With golden curls
A flowing dress
Of silk and dreams
A delicate, beautiful hand reaches out
It grabs mine and I begin to float
Higher and higher
Soul rising
Heart Flying
Then falling
I tumbled down, down, down
The wind whipped my hair
The rain stung my skin
And suddenly I stopped
Feeling the grass
The warmth of Earth
And I rose
I was the angel now
