His Question, Her Answer.
“Why?” he asked
“Why what?” She said
He pulls back her sleeve
with tears in his eyes
runs his fingers
over the scars
and newly made marks
“Why?” He asked again
she hesitates
“Because…
No one cared.
Ever.
No one heard my silent screams.
No one loved me enough to care.
So why live,
when no one cares?”
She answers with tears
stinging her eyes.
*Hes going to leave me*
She thinks
“Please.
Don't do it again.
I care.
I heard your silent screams.
Please.
You're too beautiful
for the world to break you.
Always.
Always remember that. Please.”
He’s crying now
and so is she.
She finally sees
that someone cares
“I promise.” she says
