Hear My Plea

A forbidden love,
Frowned by society,
A sacred love,
That fills gods with jealousy.
Though a love so strong,
I am restrained,
My love is cast away,
And I’m cast with pain.
I ask the gods,
To save my love,
To defy the odds,
From their world above.
But alas they laugh,
And reject my plea,
As I face their wrath,
Perhaps it’s not meant to be.
