Where I come from                   

I come from a line of mistakes       

I come from failure but hope for a better life   

I come from cigarettes , alcohol , and drugs    

I come from a “family” that is no longer a family    

I come from old family pictures that are covered in dust  old pictures of strangers with familiar faces    

I recognize them but not fully know them     

from the old awkward family gatherings     

that comes each Christmas       

but no matter where I come from       

I wont let that affect who I become.
