Loose Ends and Spare Change
Do you still believe in love?
...I don't know
It seems my heart is gone
Wandered off and left me alone
Gypsy souls crave barb-wire fences
Crossing over into places
They were never meant to go
And outside it's so...so cold
Do you think perhaps it's lost its way?
Misperceptions create static
So, you see, I can't seem to reach it
And I really need to see it
Because rent is past due and
Other things have moved in
Empty space is a rather valuable thing
If you happen to see my heart
Please tell it to come back home
I need to know where it plans to stay
Nothing personal, you know, but these
Things tend to be first-come-first-serve
Loose ends and spare change won't
Be enough to make me wait for
Dead wishes to come true
